The Beneteau Antares 11 OB has enough space for up to seven people to spend a weekend out on the water
The Beneteau Antares 11 OB is the new flagship of the line, making it the largest Antares-badged boat to hang outboard engines from the transom.
Classed as a family cruiser with a surprising amount of accommodation – up to seven people can sleep aboard in comfort – its the most versatile weekender ever to come out of the French sail and powered leisure boat brand.
Family-friendly features include a single level from the rear swim duckboard to the front of the wheelhouse, a wide starboard walkway leading forward to the sun pad, a deep, all-around internal freeboard that makes life onboard safe for children, and up to twin 300hp of outboard engine performance.

“Our priority was to provide the best quality-of-life on board, without this affecting the amount of space,” Beneteau outboard product manager Michael Guinet said.
“With the Antares 11, the new spearhead of the line, we succeeded in improving space and comfort onboard.”
Key to this are two generous-size cabins – a double master cabin in the bow with an island bed and ensuite, and a full-beam aft cabin with a double bed to port and a single bed to starboard – and a separate shower room.
Two casual berths are available in the saloon.
The cockpit, which backs onto the engine pod with an L-shaped lounge, is sheltered under a large fixed awning with a retractable sunshade that overhangs the space. This space is made even larger by a drop-down starboard swim platform, and a starboard duckboard.

Inside, the skipper sits at a “driving station” – we’re not sure if this is something that’s lost in translation or a nice way of describing the elevated helm seat – with a commanding view of the water through a single-piece windscreen, deep windows and a glass aft bulkhead.
The helm station even includes a pilot door, making it easy for the skipper to jump out and help while docking short-handed.
The light-filled, fully enclosed wheelhouse – this allows you to spend more time out on the water no matter what the weather – can open fully to the cockpit via a sliding glass bulkhead. Inside, there’s a galley to starboard with a dinette to starboard.

Helping you get to remote anchorages is up to 600hp of twin outboard engine performance.
The outboards also make the Beneteau Antares 11 easy to manage; the engines lift out of the water and make maintenance much easier than an inboard engine.
