December is a very busy time for the marine industry and Chapman Marine is no different. With a high quantity of orders on various quality powerboats for Chapman Marine over the fourth quarter of this year, the New South Wales dealership has experienced unprecedented success with one brand in particular: Sea Ray.
Known industry wide for their exceptional build quality, meticulous craftsmanship and effortless performance, the Sea Ray brand has consistently grown in popularity globally since its inception. With the recently released Euro version of SPX 230 outboard nominated for European Powerboat of the Year 2022, it is no surprise that Sea Ray’s range of vessels have proven to be a particularly popular option with Australian powerboaters.
“Currently, we have over 35 boats on order or presold with 17 boats to deliver between now and the end of January,” said Mark who is particularly impressed with Sea Ray’s ability to deliver on time.
2021 has been a turbulent year for many in the marine industry, with almost all business and brands around the industry struggling with global supply chain and logistical issues. Sea Ray however have worked tirelessly to deliver their quality product on time to their new Australian owners throughout this tumultuous period.

One of the more popular Sea Ray models for Chapman Marine has been the SDX 250 Outboard, a versatile Bowrider that reflects Sea Ray’s commitment to intelligent engineering. With an open layout that encourages socialisation and relaxation, and an impressive seating capacity onboard, the SDX 250 Outboard is an excellent option for effortless family boating. The 250 is equipped with the latest in technology to ensure ease of use and the addition of Mercury outboard power adds freedom and flexibility to suit a variety of environments.
The SPX Sport Series has also been a hit with Australian powerboaters at Chapman Marine, in both the sterndrive and outboard variations. The 230 SPX has more recently been nominated for European Powerboat of the Year 2022 in the ‘Up to 8 Meter’ category and is already turning heads industry wide. “It looks to be an amazing boat and we are extremely excited for it to arrive,” said Mark.
